About the Role

This is a hands-on, real-world development internship where you will work across AI integrations, backend automation, scraping pipelines, dashboards, and full-stack app development.

You won’t be doing textbook projects — you’ll be building actual production features for products including Client Products, Wonkrew tools, annotation systems, and automation engines.

You will work with modern stacks like Next.js, Node.js, Python, Postgres, Prisma, React Native, n8n, Apify, Playwright, and OpenAI/Claude APIs.

This role is for someone who loves to build, automate, experiment, and learn fast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build full-stack features using Next.js / React / Node.js / Python

  • Integrate AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Groq, etc.) into real workflows

  • Develop automation pipelines using n8n, cron jobs, serverless functions

  • Create and maintain scraping workflows using Apify, Playwright, Puppeteer

  • Store, clean, and manage data in Postgres

  • Build internal dashboards and tools (analytics, content engines, admin panels)

  • Implement vector embeddings and lightweight RAG systems for internal AI tools

  • Design and document REST/GraphQL APIs

  • Work with image/video generation pipelines (AI + custom processing)

  • Optimize database queries, caching, and backend performance

  • Collaborate with UI/UX and content teams for product development

  • Deploy features to production using Vercel / Supabase / Cloudflare / Render

Requirements

Must Have

  • Strong understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript

  • Experience with React or Next.js

  • Basic backend experience with Python / Node.js / Express / API building

  • Familiarity with Postgres or any SQL DB

  • Curiosity to work with AI models, APIs, and prompt engineering

  • Willingness to learn automation (n8n, scripts) and scraping (Playwright/Apify)

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to learn new tools quickly

  • Ability to build, test, debug, and iterate rapidly

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of Prisma ORM

  • Experience with scraping libraries

  • Understanding of serverless functions

  • Familiarity with mobile development (React Native)

  • GitHub portfolio or previous projects

  • Awareness of cloud platforms (Vercel, AWS, Cloudflare, Firebase, Render)

Bonus

  • Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI/Claude/Groq etc.)

  • Experience building internal dashboards or automation tools

  • Understanding of vector databases (Supabase Vector, Pinecone, Qdrant)

  • Built or experimented with bots, agents, workflows, or scripts

  • Comfort working with JSON, webhooks, async tasks, and background jobs
